Path Level object is similar to bend deformator in that it can be used for bending geometric objects. A path level defines a deformation using a nurbs curve.
To create a wriggling snake:
1. Create a horizontal tube representing a snake.
2. Animate the snake to move horizontally.
3. Activate the Path Level tool and define an initial bending axis along the tube. Then single point edit the nurbs curve found inside the Path Level object to get desired deformation effect. Play the animation to see a wriggling snake.
A suitable banking option can be selected through the property window.
